Read on to start planning your March campaigns including International Women's Day, World Engineering Day and National Careers Week - plus our quick pick for February.
But first, amplify your impact with this top tip:
Include diverse voices in your storyteller line up to engage the largest, broadest audience.
Why? Well, behavioural science shows the strength of a message lies not just in its content but also in who's sharing it! We trust our peers more than any other source so when a credible, relatable messenger shares their story we listen up.

World Engineering Day
📅 Tuesday 4th March
With engineering leading the WEF fastest growing jobs table now's the time to celebrate your engineers and their role in shaping a sustainable future. Highlight STEM careers, future skills and problem-solving in action.
STORY IDEAS TO INSPIRE ACTION
💡 Innovation in action – What engineering projects are transforming how you do business? From emerging tech to sustainability, product development to process improvements ask your engineers to share their impact stories.
💡 Career journeys – Why did your engineers choose this as their career? What journey, skills and challenges did they overcome to get here? Create a montage of tips to inspire future engineers.
💡 Women in engineering – Only 15% of engineers globally are women so we all need more women to take up engineering careers. This is a great chance to feature your female engineers as heroes in any campaign.
TIP: Extend these stories to celebrate Women in STEM (Feb 11) and International Women in Engineering Day (June 23).
National Careers Week
📅 Monday 3rd – Saturday 8th March
This week is all about getting young people and emerging talent up to speed with their options for the future.
STORY IDEAS TO INSPIRE ACTION
💡 Career showcase – There’s more than one route to success! Showcase employees who have grown their careers through different routes. What pivots, skills and learning have led to exciting opportunities?
💡 Upskilling for the future – Highlight employees who have taken on training, new projects, or lateral moves to develop their skills and future-proof their careers.
💡 Spotlight on mentorship – Ask mentors and mentees to share the impact of mentoring on their careers. If you can, invite a pair to capture both sides of the experience - even more impactful!
💡 Pay it forward – It's hard to beat hearing from someone just ahead in the same journey. When apprentices, interns, and graduates share their experiences and tips it's also a great profile-raising and skills opportunity!
International Women’s Day
📅 Saturday 8th March
This year’s theme is all about #AcceleratingAction. One of the best ways to forge gender equity is to understand what’s working and do more of this, faster. What’s working in your organisation that you can build on?
STORY IDEAS TO INSPIRE ACTION
💡 Game-changing projects – Identify your flagship projects, support and resources which are moving the needle - ask leads and beneficiaries to share why they work.
💡 Everyday actions – It’s not just the big interventions which make a difference. What approaches, behaviours and actions are creating ripples of change? Identify multiple voices to share an example and their tips to build on this.
💡 Championing women in leadership – Feature stories from women in leadership sharing their career journey, biggest lessons, and advice for future female leaders.
💡Future female talent – Spotlight initiatives that support young women entering your industry, such as mentoring, apprenticeships, or networking programs.
International Day of Happiness
📅 Thursday 20th March
70% of employees strive for an emotional connection at work so this year’s theme, ‘caring and sharing’, reminds us that happiness comes from supporting each other, feeling connected and part of something bigger.
STORY IDEAS TO INSPIRE ACTION
💡 The power of purpose – Get people talking about the projects, people, or company purpose that make them feel fulfilled in their work. Link into values and behaviours.
💡 Acts of kindness – Highlight stories where colleagues have gone above and beyond to support one another or give back to the community through volunteering and charity work.
💡 Positive habits and wellbeing – Showcase initiatives that support wellbeing, from flexible working to mental health programmes. If you run a habit changing challenge identify advocates to keep a video diary of their journey.
